How do I book a session with you?
Start by heading over to the contact page and send through a little note about what kind of session you’re dreaming of. Let me know what you're after, your preferred date, and anything else you feel is important. I love hearing your ideas and vision.
Once we’ve chatted and you feel I’m the right photographer for you, a $100 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract will lock everything in.
What time of day do you prefer to shoot?
My heart always leans towards golden hour and blue hour ; those soft, dreamy moments just after sunrise or before sunset. The light is gentle and flattering, without any harsh shadows. If that time doesn’t work for your family or little ones, we can definitely talk about other options, but I’ll always try to keep us close to those soft-light windows for the best results.
Will you pick out the location of the photo shoot?
We can decide this together. If you’ve got a spot that’s special to you, I’m always happy to explore somewhere new. I’ll scope it out beforehand to make sure we’ve got the right light and enough space to create something beautiful.
And if you’re not sure? I’ve got a collection of favourite spots across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan and surrounds. You’ll get access to my location guide when you book which offers a range of fields, creeks and beaches!
I also offer in-home sessions. These are especially lovely for newborns or just capturing you in your own sacred space. You let me know where to be, and I’ll meet you there.
What should I/we wear?
Wear what feels like you. Comfort is key. I recommend soft, earthy tones and outfits that flow together rather than stand out too loudly - think neutrals, textures, and nothing with big logos or busy patterns. It makes a world of difference in how your gallery feels.
If you're leaning into a theme : like goddess, beach cowgirl, soft vintage, or anything with a little creative flair - let’s go all in! I’m here for it. We’ll work together to make sure the styling supports the story you want to tell.
Booking with me gives you access to my client closet (for mums and maternity). And if you’re ever unsure, just flick me some outfit ideas, I’m more than happy to help you pull it all together.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
Life happens - I get it. If you need to reschedule due to illness, weather, or one of life’s unexpected curveballs, just let me know as soon as you can. As long as I’ve had reasonable notice, your deposit will carry over to a new date. No stress.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! A $100 deposit locks in your session, and from there, the remaining amount can be split into weekly instalments depending on how far out we book. Your balance just needs to be paid in full at least 24 hours before your shoot unless discussed, your gallery will be delivered once the product has been paid in full.
Are there specific poses that work best for outdoor maternity shoots?
Don’t worry, I’ve got you! My style is all about natural movement, gentle prompts, and helping you feel comfortable and confident. I’ll guide you every step of the way and we’ll go at your pace. Plus, we’ll work with a moodboard based on your questionnaire to make sure it all feels aligned with you.
How soon after the session will we receive our photos?
I know how exciting the anticipation is waiting for your finalized gallery. With my services you can expect to receive your images within 2-3 weeks from your session date.
How do you deliver the photos?
I use a beautiful platform called Pic-Time to send your high-resolution online gallery. You can download your selected images (or the whole gallery), share them with friends and family, and even order high-quality prints directly through the store. It’s super easy and really lovely to use.
Do you offer packages that include both maternity and newborn sessions?
Yes! My Bump-to-Baby package is perfect if you’d like to document both milestones. Payment plans are available, and you can find all the details over on the services page.
What happens if there is wet weather?
Soft light is lovely, but we don’t need perfect conditions to make magic. That said, if the weather is looking stormy, wild or windy - I’ll be in touch. We’ll reschedule at no extra cost and find a new date that works for both of us.
What should I expect during a session with you?
Expect a relaxed, go-with-the-flow vibe. I encourage play, connection, and simply being present. During family sessions, that might look like cuddles, kisses, games, or running barefoot through the grass. I gently guide where needed, but I step back often to let the real magic unfold. Embrace the chaos, it always tells the best stories.
For maternity, we might lean more into soft movement and gentle prompts. I’ll help you feel comfortable in your body and celebrate this powerful chapter of motherhood.
Do you offer posed newborn sessions? Do you bring props?
I don’t offer the posed studio newborn sessions where your baby is wrapped up like a little chicken nugget. I do however offer a small range of knitted clothing, blankets and items for babies including a vintage cane bassinet for use in outdoor sessions. I am absolutely happy to include any special items e.g blankets, toys, heirloom items that are important to you and your family.
